Home Horticulture Evening Lecture Series: Master Gardener Assoc. Ten-Week Course

Join the Massachusetts Master Gardener Association (MMGA) for our popular 10-week series of lectures. Classes will be held at Brigham Hill Farm, North Grafton, on ten consecutive Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8:00 PM, September 11 thru November 20 (no lectures 10/9 due to Yom Kippur).

Lectures cover the same topics studied by Master a more convenient format: one 1.5 hr. evening class per week, no homework or testing, and no volunteering. Subjects include important fundamentals such as building great soil and how plants well as practical how-to's like basic landscape design, perennial selection and care, and combating weeds, diseases and pests.

For gardeners with some experience, the Home Hort lecture series offers an opportunity to refine their knowledge and skills. For novices, it provides a strong learning foundation for planning next year's garden. Trained Master Gardeners will also be on hand to test the pH of students soil samples: an important component for soil health and gardening success.

The cost of the program is $250.00 per person for all ten classes. Instructors are senior Certified Master Gardeners with in-depth experience in their respective topics. Handouts are provided.
