The Scene In and Around Boston . . . The Christofle boutique at Heritage On the Garden on Boylston Street, recently hosted a festive reception in honor of their Master Silversmith, Jean-Claude Bourbon. Monsieur Bourbon is the Director of Christofle's Haute Couture Workshop, located in Normandy, France, which creates all of the company's exquisite limited-edition works and one-of-a-kind custom pieces commissioned by royalty, celebrities and private individuals alike. Several vintage and signature pieces from the workshop were on display at the reception that gathered more than 75 guests. Monsieur Bourbon gave a demonstration of his craft while graciously answering guests' questions. Everyone enjoyed flutes of Perrier Jouet bubbly and on departing, all received handmade gifts from Christofle's Couture workshop. A super soiree, to be sure! Since 1842, Christofle has upheld its position as the foremost leader in the art of silver. With locations in more than 70 countries, Christofle offers home decor, accessories and jewelry.
