Mass. Master Gardener Association: 2nd Annual Massachusetts Gardening Symposium

The Massachusetts Master Gardener Association (MMGA) has announced its second annual Massachusetts Gardening Symposium, a day-long educational event scheduled for Saturday, September 23, 2017.

Themed "Inspiration for Next Year's Garden," the program emphasizes thought-starters for 2018 garden design and plant selection. Gardeners at all levels of experience are welcome.

The Symposium's agenda features presentations by four nationally recognized horticultural experts:

~ Thomas Rainer, landscape architect and author of Planting in a Post-Wild World: Designing Plant Communities for Resilient Landscapes

~ David L. Culp, plant hybridizer, author of The Layered Garden and VP of Sunn Border Nurseries

~ Kathleen Gagan, owner of Peony's Envy, a 7-acre New Jersey retailer, nursery and display garden

~ Janet Macunovich, online, broadcast and hands-on gardening educator and the author of best seller Designing Your Gardens and Landscapes
